Lunchtime Company
School lunches are provided by Lunchtime Company.
Lunchtime Company is a small, schools-only contract caterer, whose purpose is to integrate fabulous, individually tailored menu cycles, using excellent, local ingredients, with a professional and friendly service in an environment that encourages children to learn, love and eat together.
The Lunchtime Company is run by award-winning Master Chefs who will provide training and support to the kitchen staff.
All meals will be cooked from fresh ingredients every day, sourced locally (where possible within a 60 mile radius of the school), and prepared on-site.
Over the course of the academic year there will be various theme days, activities, cookery classes and charity events – these will be advertised around the school and on the website.
Lunchtime Company want to help children gain a real appreciation for good quality food, where it comes from, how it’s produced and why healthy food is important and to make lunchtime the highlight of the day.

Universal Free School Meals

Parents of children paying for meals are asked to use the electronic payment system - MCAS App.
If you are in receipt of Income Support or Income-Based Job Seeker’s Allowance then your children may be entitled to free meals. Please obtain the necessary forms from the office.
Packed Lunches
We encourage the use of re-usable containers rather than plastic bags, foil, cling film etc. We aim to have ‘waste’ free lunches. To avoid confusion or loss, these meals should be properly packed and placed in a named plastic box. Drinks should be in a plastic container that the children can open themselves. Fizzy drinks, hot drinks or soup should not be brought to school. Drinking water is always available and children are encouraged to bring their own for use in the classroom. During the lunch break, the children are expected to continue the same standard of behaviour set by members of the teaching staff whilst being supervised by ancillary staff. There are four Midday Meals Supervisors.
With the exception of fresh fruit, ‘tuck’ is not allowed at break times.
Key Stage 1 are entitled to the government ‘free fruit scheme’, which is eaten during morning playtime.
